Sustainable Company Profile
From the early beginning, back in 2010, the whole fabric production of Les Trouvailles d’Amandine is made in France and based on the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) requiring meeting high environmental and social criteria. All our fabrics are and have always been GOTS certified.
Furthermore, Les Trouvailles d’Amandine is part of Social Economy, with a government agreement, which implies for example the primacy of individual and social objective over capital and the reinvestment of – at least – most of the profits to carry out sustainable development.
The GOTS labellisation of our company also means that the whole process as well as our packaging is certified. The production is sustainably made, with the recycling of remaining yarns and recovery and treatment of dye sludges. All the water used is internally treated and cleaned by a wastewater treatment plant inside the factory to meet the ecological requirements in France (more restrictive than REACH). We use renewable energy for the production lines and use the calorific energy emitted by the machines to heat the whole factory and offices. We also use only recycled and/or recyclable packaging without PVC.
We implemented a loop to get back and reuse the bolts on which we fold the fabrics for haberdasheries, in order to avoid producing new ones and wasting natural resources.
The respect of the environment and workers as well as high quality expectation and maintaining French savoir-faire are the true core of Les Trouvailles d’Amandine. For those reasons, all our fabrics are made in France and skin-friendly, sustainably produced, beautiful, vegan and last but not least, made with various weaves, declinations of plain-weave, twill, satin and jacquard. In our factories we are able to GOTS dye, weave, print and develop custom-made fabrics in various weaving, so feel free to ask us.
